A rope braid is a great braid to learn because it doesn’t take that long to do. When you have the technique down, it will only take less then 2 minutes to do! There are so many hairstyle you can incorporate this braid into and create a hairstyle that you dont see everyday. You can do a rope braid on your back with all your hair, as shown on the pictures below and you can also pull all the hair to one side and do a rope braid on the side. You can also pull all your hair into a ponytail and then rope braid the ponytail or create a half up half down hairstyle where you braid the “half up” part of the hairstyle. So there are many options for how to style this braid so it´s definitely a braid worth learning!
A rope braid can also be called a rope twist braid or just a twist, but it’s all the same hairstyle/braid. This style of braid can also be braided into a french version, so you add hair in as you go.
