How To Dutch Infinity Braid

An infinity braid is quite simple to do, as you just wrap the hair around in figure 8s. To achieve the dutch infinity braid you simply add hair to the wrapping strand when braiding on both sides.

The technique is quite simple, but the hard part is the hand placement. If you don’t have the hand placement down, you are going to struggle! But luckily I show you how to hold the hair in the tutorial down below, so now all it takes is practice!

Easy Dutch Infinity Step-By-Step Guide

Time requirement: 20 minutes – depending on the hair length

Skill level: medium

Step by step guide

  1. Take a small section of hair at the top of the hair and split it into 2 equal section
  2. Then take a small section from under the left strand, this strand is now your wrapping strand. Bring it out to the left side.
  3. Take the wrapping strand and cross it under the left strand and then over the right strand
  4. Pick up a new small section of hair on the right side and add it to the wrapping strand (For hand placement, please watch the video)
  5. Then bring the wrapping strand under the right strand and over the left strand
  6. Again pick up a new small section of hair and add it to the wrapping strand
  7. Repeat steps 3-6 until there is no more hair to add to the braid
  8. When you get to the end and there is no more hair to add to the braid, then braid the rest of the hair like a basic infinity braid
  9. When you reach the end of the hair then pinch all 3 strands together into 1 and tie the braid off
